Although it’s only been two weeks since Netflix released season two of Sex Education,it’s safe to say the comedy-drama series has been absolutely devoured by fans.

The second season of the sex-positive series, which was released in mid-January, explores all the awkward intimacies of sexuality, identity, and relationships.

But while the Netflix series has been praised for their commitment to inclusivity and being representative of today’s society, there’s something else we’ve noticed about the cast ofSex Education.

Besides being super relatable characters, the cast of the comedy-drama series are also extremely recognisable.

In fact, we’re pretty sure we spent most of the season trying to figure out why everyone looked incredibly familiar. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

In case you're wondering, Butterfield was the brown-haired and wide-eyed leading child actor from films like the critically-acclaimed, 2011 Martin Scorsese masterpieceHugo– in which he played the titular character – as well as Bruno in the 2008 film adaptation ofThe Boy in the Striped Pyjamas.

In 2020, Anderson will make her debut in the fourth series of Netflix'sThe Crownas Margaret Thatcher.

Lino Facioli (Dex Thompson)

Dex, who is part of the Moordale Quiz Heads, is played by Lino Facioli inSex Education.

The 19-year-old actor previously appeared inGame of Thronesas Robin Arryn.

In case you've forgotten, Robin Arryn was that kid who was breastfed until adulthood before suddenly appearing (after a significant "glow-up") in the finale episode.

Mimi Keene (Ruby)
