Surprise: Serena Williams announces engagement to tech celebrity.

Tennis legend Serena Williams is engaged to Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian. The pair are rumoured to have been dating in secret since last year. 

In a super romantic and unexpected move, 35-year-old Williams decided to announce the engagement with a poem that she posted on Reddit.

“I came home a little late,” Williams wrote in a thread she called ‘I Said Yes’.  “Someone had a bag packed for me and a carriage awaited.”

"To escort me to my very own 'charming.'"

"Back to where our stars first collided and now it was full circle."

"At the same table we first met by chance, This time he made it not by chance but by choice."

"Down on one knee he said 4 words and I said yes."

Ohanian, 33, replied to the poem posting, “And you made me the happiest man on the planet.”

Ohanian then announced the engagement on his Facebook account with a link to Williams' Reddit thread and the caption "she said yes."

Over the pats year, the tech guru has been a huge and very vocal supporter for Williams on social media in her tennis accomplishments.
