The letter Ser Jorah was penning to Daenerys on Game of Thrones will break your heart.

Warning: just like the night, the post is dark and full of spoilers.

The relationship between Ser Jorah Mormont and Daenerys Targaryen is one of the most beautiful stories on Game of Thrones (sorry, Sam and Gilly), but it’s also the most heartbreaking.

It’s no secret that Ser Jorah has been in love with Daenerys from the very start but his feelings have always been unrequited.

Add to that the fact the exiled Northern lord has basically been handed a death sentence in the form of Greyscale, and you have a tearjerking farewell ready to happen.

It's something Jorah was preparing for himself, penning a final goodbye note to his Khaleesi in what he believed would be his final days alive.

Now the team behind Game of Thrones have revealed exactly what his letter said—and it's guaranteed to make your heart melt.

"I came to the Citadel in the last hope that the Maesters could treat me, as you ordered," his note begins.

"Even with all their arts, I am beyond any cure but the grave. I have had a longer life than I deserved, and I only wish I could've lived to see the world you're going to build, standing by your side."

But it's the final line Ser Jorah wrote before Samwell Tarly interrupted him with a "cure" that has Thrones fans weak at the knees.

"I have loved you since the moment I met you," he wrote.

Yep. Consider us well and truly broken.

Although it's just like the show to give us a glimpse of something good before promptly snatching it away, we're hoping this means that a cure for Ser Jorah is only an episode away.
