Introducing the dress that almost every Aussie celebrity owns.

What do Jodi Anasta, Carrie Bickmore, Zana Pali and Rachael Finch all have in common?

Good cheekbones, television appearances and one little dress.

International label Self-Portrait has released a mini dress that is hitting all the right notes for Australian celebrities.

It’s smart, chic and $520 – a far cry from the thousand dollar numbers that usually grace the red carpet.

Jodi Anasta wore the dress almost six weeks ago for the cover of Sunday Style. The actress and model wore it in black with a gentle golden crown.

The designer behind the dress is Malaysian-born Han Chong who only launched the label three years ago in 2013.

Since its launch, the brand has skyrocketed from a label to a-list with other celebrities like Jessica Biel and Naomi Watts jumping aboard the trend.

The dresses carry a moderate price-point of around $500 - moderate considering the shoulders they sit upon are usually decked out in pieces that range into the thousands.

Chong's range extends beyond dresses to also incorporate pants, skirts and blouses. The themes of delicacy and lace shared throughout.
