Saoirse Kennedy Hill, a 22-year-old granddaughter of Robert F Kennedy, has died following an apparent overdose at the family’s compound in Hyannis Port, Massachusetts.
“Our hearts are shattered by the loss of our beloved Saoirse,” the Kennedy family said in a statement released to local media. “Her life was filled with hope, promise and love.”
The statement quoted her grandmother, Ethel Kennedy, as saying: “The world is a little less beautiful today.”
Saoirse was the daughter of Courtney Kennedy Hill, the fifth of Robert and Ethel Kennedy’s 11 children, and Paul Michael Hill.

Ted Kennedy's 'negligence' involved him abandoning a young woman to die in a car. Anyone else, other than a Kennedy would have gone to jail. There is no Kennedy curse, just a lot of hubris on the part of the younger family members. JFK Jr died because he flouted air safety rules and flew at night without an instrument rating to do so.
Too right. Ted Kennedy abandoned the vehicle and told no one about the accident until the next morning after the car was found. Horribly, Mary Jo Kopechne's death was caused by suffocation not the accident or drowning. The first responders reported she actually survived for a substantial amount of time in an air pocket in the submerged car. Which would mean had Ted Kennedy actually fessed up to the accident and reported it instead of pretending it didn't happen, she may have been saved. Her death was collateral damaged to protect the Kennedy reputation from the consequences of hubris and negligence. Horrible that her death has been minimised to suit the narrative of the Kennedys being cursed. Ted Kennedy wasn't curse, he WAS the curse... To Mary Jo Kopechne, her friends and loved ones
