Samantha Jade has just announced that she’ll be taking leave from her pop career.

The 27-year-old singer says she’ll be putting her career “on pause” to properly deal with the loss of her mama, Jacqui Gibbs. Jacqui passed away just five days ago, after a battle with cancer.

The former X Factor contestant has spoken before about how important her mother was to her, how lucky she felt to have such a beautiful woman in her life, and how very much she will be missed.
