Sam Frost fights for The Bachelor's Nikki live on air. Asks Richie the question we all want answered.

2Day FM host Sam Frost is about as #TeamNikki as it gets and in her interview with new love birds Richie Strahan and Alex Nation on Friday morning, she made it very known.

The Rope Access Technician has been copping unprecedented backlash for choosing single mum Alex on last night’s finale and Frost wasn’t going to let him off the hook easily for his decision.

Famously spurned by 2014 Bach Blake Garvey in a brutal post-production change of heart, there’s no doubt Frost had major feels for runner-up Nikki Gogan.

“Oh my God, Richie, what happened?”, she yelled. “Alex this has nothing to do with you, you’re lovely, you’re sweet, you’re delightful, you’re related to my bestie, that’s great. Buy guys, I was so invested with Nikki.”

Standing up for her girl, Frost then asked Richie the question that’s crossed all our minds.

“Did you think maybe you shouldn’t bring Nikki to the finale, knowing how devastated she was going to be?” Sam asked Richie on this morning’s Rove and Sam programme. “Did you ever think you should have let her go a little bit earlier to save her from that heart break?”

“I built a really beautiful relationship with Nikki, but I was definitely falling for Alex,” Richie replied. “It’s a tough situation being The Bachelor and that’s just my cross to bare.”

“Trust me,” said Frost. “I understand more than anyone.”

Frost quickly diverted the attention from her sledging and went on to congratulate the couple on their newly announced relationship.

“We are very happy that you guys are happy,” she said.

She even had some advice for the pair, post press-tour.

“I will just very quickly say: this little patch is fun, enjoy it. And it gets really hard, and you’ll fight and it’s hard, but you’ll get through it.

“Just as long as you stick together and just be yourself, that’s all you need to do.”

Frost did well to stay (mostly) composed during the interview, as earlier that morning she was struggling to come to terms with Nikki’s departure.

“You know what I just cant deal with it. I can’t get it out of my head. I’m so upset,” she said on air earlier this morning.

“She’s so down to earth, she’s so lovely, she’s a little legend. Like I was so invested in her, I was going to move to Perth to be besties with her. I want to spend Christmas with Snowy.”

Don’t we all, Frosty. Don’t we all. (#snowyforpm)
