Late last month, women across Australia watched in disbelief as The Bachelorette Sam Frost dumped ropes technician Richie Strahan in favour of construction manager Sasha Mielczarek.
Strahan’s goofy sense of humour may not have won 26-year-old Frost over, but it made him a firm favourite among viewers — prompting a number of date requests from fans on social media.
Among those propositions was a message from former Big Brother contestant Tully Smyth, who tweeted “hey @richie_strahan – give me a call” right after his eviction from the Channel Ten reality show.
And now, if recent rumours are anything to go by, it seems Strahan may have taken her up on that offer.
He and the Big Brother star have been spotted hanging out together several times this week, prompting suggestions they’re in a relationship.
Their string of public outings began on Monday, when the pair were spotted at a David Guetta gig with a group of friends. Pictures posted on social media from that event show Smyth playfully creating “rabbit ears” with her hand behind Strahan’s head.
On Tuesday, The Daily Telegraph reported that the two kissed at the Melbourne Cup, stoking rumours of the reality stars’ romance.
“While his reality star mates were enjoying a bevy, second runner up and crowd favourite Richie Strahan was spotted locking lips with another ex reality star Tully Smyth,” the newspaper reported.
Then yesterday, the pair posed together in a marquee at Oaks Day. Although they arrived separately, photos published by the Daily Mail show Strahan gazing into Smyth’s eyes and resting his hand on the small of her back.
Late last night, Smith even tweeted that she was “introducing” Strahan to Japanese restaurant Mr Miyagi — implying a dinner date was underway at the popular Windsor night spot.
