Reese Witherspoon isn’t exactly known for her out-there hair choices.

Since bursting onto our screens as Elle Wood inLegally Blondealmost 15 years ago, her signature hairstyle has remained pretty much the same. With the exception of the occasional shorter chop, fringe or red carpet updo, it’s been long and blonde.

So you could say her latest change is a little, erm,Wild.

It’s summery, choppy, and a good 10 centimetres shorter than it was before.

Celebrity hairstylist Cervando – who also works with the likes of fellow blondes Kirsten Dunst and Naomi Watts – shared the final results on Instagram.

“I took four inches off. It’s a fresh pretty new look.It’s great for summer because it’s long enough to be put up in a ponytail or bun, with the long layers that frame Reese’s face quite nicely,” he told US Weekly .

The 40-year-old’s look was styled into a centre part and slight waves, with texture added thanks to two key products – Serge Normant Meta Lush Volumizer for volume, and Sachajuan Volume Powder.
