Peter FitzSimons and Lisa Wilkinson attended the Channel Nine wedding of the year yesterday and witnessed the nuptials between presenters Peter Stefanovic and Sylvia Jeffreys.

OnThe Weekend Today Showthis morning, a fresh-faced FitzSimons revealed that it was a “terrific wedding ” that was “full of love”.

FitzSimons also said that the weather eased up, delivering an absolutely stunning day for the bride and groom.

“You know, we’ve had this horrible three weeks of rain, deluge rain, and it suddenly comes good for the day,” he said.

The 59-year-old also revealed that there were no traditional hymns at the ceremony and the guests sang instead.

“It was a terrific wedding…there was so much love, there was so much joy,” he said.

Lisa Wilkinson shared some happy snaps from the day and some beautiful shots of Sylvia’s dress on her Instagram page.

Wilkinson posted a lovely shot of the couple kissing at the alter and captioned it: ‘The beautiful moment @sylviajeffreys & @peter_stefanovic became husband and wife. So much joy! #happilyeverafter

She followed up with another photo of the couple, commenting: ‘Perfect from every angle’.

Peter Stefanovic and Sylvia Jeffreys started dating almost two-and-a-half years ago, after working together as the 2014 summer hosts of theTodayshow. Yesterday they tied the knot in front of their closest family and friends.
