The Oscars' red carpet fashion was beige, but the after party frocks were anything but.

The Academy Awards are the peak of Hollywood’s awards season but there were a few things missing from last night’s red carpet fashion.

Colour. Risk. Excitement.

However we now know why everyone played it so safe at the actual ceremony. They were saving the good stuff for the Oscar’s after parties.

While there are plenty to choose from, it’s the Vanity Fair After Party that’s the golden ticket.

There was bling, there was colour and there was even a gold lame cape (Thanks Jessica Biel).
