Behold: An ENTIRE WEBSITE dedicated to hilarious/horrible online shopping fails...

The internet is a wild and wonderful thing.

It can bring us the greatest joys (pre-midday Menulog) and the greatest horror (parents on Facebook), and yet, like star-crossed lovers, we cannot keep ourselves away.

Apart from the ability to get McDonald’s delivered to our door when we’ve got a hangover, the best thing about the internet is no longer having to deal with crowds, shops, coathangers, or shop assistants because ~ONLINE SHOPPING.

But, being the tumultuous lover she is, Lady Internet just couldn’t let us enjoy the gift of online shopping, could she?

Behold, a whole website dedicated to your virtual purchase fails: KNOCKOFF NIGHTMARES.

Unfortunately, the majority of these mishaps seem to be around wedding dresses, which is particularly upsetting since there is nothing funny about the most important dress of your life arriving looking like a prop from Big Fat Gypsy Weddings.

Buyers write in to the website naming and shaming the responsible online sellers, with captions that invariably involve lots of exclamation marks and sad tales of parties ruined.

The website outlines its mission statement. They seem like really nice folks. ಥ‿ಥ

“Getting a poorly made dress can ruin what is supposed to be one of the most special days in a girl’s life.

With your help, we can make sure it happens to as few people as possible.

Here you can share your nightmare with us and help potential victims avoid the heartbreak of receiving a low quality knockoff.”

There’s also a preeetty long list of ‘Known Knockoff Sites’ – some which sound rather familiar. Yikes.

So there you go, a legitimate forum for you to have a full-blown meltdown the next time your hand-beaded sheath dress arrives as a satin body-condom.

And we can all watch.
