Actually, he’s not a man. She’s a woman who has had her breasts removed. And has some facial hair. That’s all. Isn’t that right? Or is your gender purely about how you feel, which sex you identify with, not the outside bits? Either way. They do seem rather intent on being public about what they’re doing so perhaps it’s a good thing for education and tolerance

I really dont like the tone that the interviewer takes with him.... . Gender isnt as clear cut as people seem to think it is. people rarely take into account the sociological aspects which influence gender related behaviour and the construction of gender identity. There is substantial scientific evidence which suggests that the brains structure and function can change under the influence of environmental factors. perhaps if we changed our rigid ideas about gender identity and what we classify as masculine and feminine there would be less discrimination for transgenders and the gender ambigious. its all too depressing

Okay so first of all, Thomas is pretty courageous and I definitely admire him for that - and I agree with what he believes - a man becomes a man and is not born that way. So I support him, yet I feel the utmost sadness for their child, what they have left her to deal with. Imagine school - you get bullied for having red hair, let alone being born by your father! I feel that is incredibly inconsiderate of them to fuel the paparazzi. And that presenter was a horrible person - trying to make Thomas crack but he strode onwards. What a horrible woman!
