For two years I'd quietly crushed on Dave* from my office.

He sat a couple of desks away, and he always flirted with me. He was very cute, but I knew he wasn't single, so I didn't flirt back.

Then I heard his girlfriend dumped him and that's when he really stepped up the flirting with me.

He'd tell me I looked pretty, or that he loved what I was wearing. It kind of felt like he was letting me know that he was into me and that it was okay to make a move.

I told myself not to get carried away, but after another week of his obvious flirting, I worked up the guts to ask him out. Thankfully, he said yes right away. And what a night we had.

Let's just say it was unforgettable but not for all the right reasons.

We went for Friday drinks, just the two of us.

He couldn't keep his hands off me.

I was wearing a short skirt and his hands didn't leave my upper thighs. We kissed a few times in the bar, and I was feeling mega horny. So, I suggested we grab a quick bite to eat then find a place to have sex.

My apartment was out of the question as my flatmate had two overseas friends camping in our living room for a couple of weeks. Dave said we couldn't go back to his place because his former girlfriend was still there, waiting to rent a new apartment.

So, I suggested one of those "love hotels" where you can book a room by the hour, or for the whole night.

It sounded like fun. We had to go to an area I wouldn't usually visit, but that was fine by me.

The hotel looked kind of seedy from the outside, but I was hopeful that the rooms were nice enough. The lobby had plenty of soft lighting and music. So it had a kind of atmosphere.

At the front desk there was a young receptionist, maybe aged 23 or so, with long dark hair, blue eyes, super pretty. Dave handled the booking and I noticed how he leaned across the counter and lowered his voice a bit. I caught him asking her for her name and how often she worked there.

I thought that was quite rude. Flirting with her while I was standing just behind him. But, I thought, maybe he was just showing off in front of me.

I just pretended to check my phone, then we headed upstairs.

He took my clothes off right away, kissing me all over.

He told me he'd been fantasising about having sex with me for ages. Then we started foreplay.

Before I knew it, he'd put me in the missionary position, which I always like but, in retrospect, I should have continued with the foreplay as he came too quickly for my liking.

But that was okay as I assumed there would be a "next time."

We went to sleep, and I couldn't quite believe I'd managed to have sex with my crush. But things went crashing down sooner than I thought.

I woke up around 11pm, and he was nowhere to be seen, although his stuff was still in the room, including his phone. I was very confused, so I got dressed and went downstairs.

I wanted to ask at the desk whether he'd left the building.

I went down to reception and nobody was there. I saw an office door with a light on, so I knocked, then stuck my head in – to my absolute shock, there was Dave having sex with the young receptionist.

What the hell? She was sitting atop a desk, straddling him while he was thrusting inside of her. She had her eyes closed and didn't register me being there.

I could only manage a "Oh my God!" before Dave turned around and saw me.

I'm not sure what happened next, whether he continued screwing the young woman or whether he got his pants back on to come after me, because I bolted. I went to the room, grabbed my stuff and managed to leave out of a back exit.

What a complete letdown. I knew he was a player but didn't realise he'd be sleazing onto a hotel receptionist just hours after having sex with me.

I never had an apology or explanation other than receiving a text saying that I had "dreadful timing" and it's a shame I came downstairs.

What a total creep. I couldn't face him at work and ended up leaving that job.

I'll never date a player like Dave again, even if he was once my biggest crush.
