Australian actress and formerNeighboursstar Nicky Whelan has married Kerry Rhodes, a former NFL player, in Los Angeles.

The guest list included Shane Warne, Melbourne-based model and photographer

On Monday, the 35-year-old actress posted a video to Instagram captioned, ‘We are beyond tired but very happy… #thedayafter’.

Fans congratulated the couple, with many saying they can’t wait to see a wedding photo.

While Whelan, 35, launched her acting career on Australian TV, in shows such asBeyond the Boundary,Coxy’s Big Break,and of course, as Pepper Steiger inNeighbours,she’s since gone on to play an Australian medical student inScrubs,and co-star inHall Pass,alongside Owen Wilson, Jenna Fischer, and Christina Applegate.

Whelan and Rhodes started dating after Whelan’s relationship with actor Chad Michael Murray ended in 2014. The two met on the set of a comedy sketch, and Whelan had no idea Rhodes was an athlete.

“I thought he was an actor,” she said.

“So to be introduced to this whole NFL life he had before me is awesome.”

In February last year, the couple announced their engagement just moments before a pre-Grammy awards event. And fans have been eagerly awaiting the wedding ever since.
