A Stan Original Documentary, Revealed: Killjoy provides a compelling exploration of family violence in Australia, through the eyes of a child.

Kathryn Joy's father killed their mother when they were just three months old.

Kathryn's father was found "not guilty" of murder, and served just 22 months in prison for manslaughter. When he returned from prison, Kathryn returned to live with him at the very house where the tragedy occurred, unaware of the dark history that surrounded their childhood.

Spanning over forty years, the documentary follows Kathryn from childhood, into adulthood as they embark on a journey to uncover their mother's buried story.

Revealed: KillJoy premieres on Stan on September 8.

A six-hour docuseries, In The Valley of Sin examines the mid-90s witch-hunt that pitted neighbour against neighbour in Wenatchee, Washington.

When police uncovered a monstrous child sex ring known among its members as 'The Circle', local authorities alleged that dozens of children were assaulted in horrific circumstances. But there was one problem: there was no sex ring, a truth that only emerged after 43 parents were arrested and dozens of children were made wards of the state.

In The Valley Of Sin documents the perseverance and resilience of the accused and their supporters in the face of overwhelming odds, untold suffering and unthinkable accusations.

In The Valley Of Sin premieres on Stan on September 15.

Another docuseries to keep on your radar, The Abercrombie Guys: The Dark Side of Cool investigates allegations of exploitation and abuse at the top of one of the biggest fashion brands in America.

Former CEO Mike Jeffries transformed Abercrombie and Fitch from a failing retail chain to a multibillion-dollar empire and the epitome of cool. Now, after months of painstaking investigation, reporter Rianna Croxford speaks to men who say they were recruited into a dark world, created to satisfy the sexual fantasies of Mike Jeffries and his British partner Matthew Smith.

The documentary reveals the men were silenced by the fear of breaking non-discolusre agreements, but they're ready to speak out about their traumatising experience.

Dune

The first instalment of Dune is coming to Stan this month, with the Hollywood blockbuster being one you should absolutely check out one weekend.

Led by our boy Timmy (also known as Timothée Chalamet), Dune is a visually stunning adaptation of Frank Herbert's classic sci-fi novel.

The story follows Paul Atreides (Chalamet), the heir of House Atreides, as his family relocates to the desert planet Arrakis, the only source of the precious spice melange. Alongside him is his mother, Lady Jessica, played by Rebecca Ferguson, and his father, Duke Leto Atreides, portrayed by Oscar Isaac.

Set against a backdrop of political intrigue and betrayal, primarily driven by the villainous Baron Vladimir Harkonnen, played by Stellan Skarsgård, it's a twisty tale that will leave you wanting more. Fortunately, there is a sequel for fans to enjoy.

Dune: Part One premieres on Stan on September 7.

Game Night

We're wrapping this list up with what I can only describe as my go-to "I don't know what to watch" movie. I throw this film on whenever I need something easy, breezy and entertaining.

Game Night is equal parts star-studded and stupid.

Jason Bateman and Rachel McAdams lead the comedy, as married couple Max and Annie, a competitive couple who regularly host game nights with their friends.

When Max's successful brother Brooks (Kyle Chandler) hosts the next game night and ends up getting kidnapped, the friends believe it's part of an elaborate game and set out to solve the fake (but very real) mystery.

The supporting cast includes Billy Magnussen as Ryan, Sharon Horgan as Sarah, Lamorne Morris and Kylie Bunbury as Kevin and Michelle, and the incredible Jesse Plemons as their neighbour Gary.

Game Night premieres on Stan on September 9.
