The new trend that'll make your nails look fiercely long. Yep, nail contouring is a thing.

Look, you’ve probably heard of contouring your cheekbones, jawline and neck. (Thank you, Kardashians.)

Anyone who has attempted it knows it is no easy feat. Not only do you need a gazillion products to get your look on point, but it requires serious focus. Too much focus for me to commit to on a regular basis.

But now the internet has introduced us to nail contouring.

And this shit is EASY. Seriously. I can 100 per cent get behind this. And it’s guaranteed to make my short nails look like amazing, long claws. (Right?)

Manicurist Jin Soon Choi told Cosmopolitan she used this genius trick at the latest Vera Wang runway at New York Fashion Week.

It involves first applying a clear base coat or light polish, then laying a dark coat along the middle — leaving the left and right sides.

And that, ladies, is the contoured effect.

Choi used a powder-pink white and swept blackberry red shade in the centre.

“This look is not only cool and creates the illusion of longer nails, it’s really easy to execute because all you need is the brush that comes with the polish,” Choi said.

Embrace the elongating power of the stripe.

???????????? dreaming about @gucci FW16 pink fur ???????????? @flossgloss "perf" will do for now!
