The 12 best looks from the Myer Spring '16 launch last night.

It was the showcase of fashion soon to hit stores, but it was the outfits off the runway that really stole the show at the Myer Spring 16 launch last night.

While ruffled ballgowns, off-the-shoulder tops, denim, prints and crisp whites dominated the catwalk, in the front row another trend was emerging – and it’s flipping traditional red carpet style on its head.

Say hello to the pants party.

Myer Ambassador Jennifer Hawkins wore the pants (literally), leading the charge in a Self-Portrait cut-out jumpsuit with a lace top and tailored pants.

Laura Dundovic's Sass and Bide number came complete with front split legs and a bejewelled neckline, proving the look can be just as dressed up and feminine as any dress.

Lindy Klim took the trend tropical in her green and white Dolce and Gabbana jumpsuit.

With more and more celebrities opting to ditch skirts in favour of pants at black tie events (we even had the very first jumpsuit on The Bachelor premiere episode this season) this is one practical trend we can get behind.

There's no need to worry about knicker flash and you can cartwheel to your heart's content should you wish - just be warned that going to the, ahem, bathroom can be a little more complicated if you go for the all in one. (Post continues after gallery.)
