There's a conspiracy theory behind Miranda Kerr's "born again virgin" status.

Ready your tinfoil hats, readers, it’s conspiracy time.

And this time, it’s the celebrity edition.

In a recent interview with The Times Of London, model Miranda Kerr said that she and fiance, Snapchat founder Evan Spiegal, 26, were yet to have sex.

The 33-year-old, who famously married actor Orlando Bloom, told the publication the pair would remain sexless until their wedding day.

“Not until after we get married,” she said.

“[Spiegel] is very traditional. We can’t…I mean we’re just…waiting.”

The unusually personal reveal was taken by many to be a lapse of judgment, but the hosts on Mamamia Out Loud discussed whether it was actually planned.

Listen to Jessie Stephens, Jacqueline Lunn and Monique Bowley discuss the mysterious case of Miranda in this special snippet of MMOL.

Monique’s conspiratorial understanding of the situation delved into whether this “leak” of information was actually an attempt at personal re-branding.

“Miranda Kerr is in the business of being sexy – she sells sex. She’s a Victoria’s Secrets model, she’s an underwear model,” she said.

“I think this whole mysterious sex life virgin complex – born again virgin, is a part of that. I know it sounds cynical but I think she’s trying to maintain this air of mystique around her as like a branding plot.”

Monique raised the two types of women Anne Summer presents in her book Damned Whores and God’s Police.

“You’re either a virtuous mother type or you’re a bad girl who’s a slut,” she said.

Monique went on to discuss how the re-branding could align Kerr with this “other” camp of innocent, untouched women.

Jessie agreed and presented how the “leak” could have just been an attempt to distance herself from those “bad” women.

“I guess that’s why Miranda Kerr wants to be the antithesis of that – why she wants to be the virginal mother who is the epitome of innocence,” she said.
