On this week's episode of You Beauty with co-host Sharon Hunt, the 39-year-old spilled on everything she does in her beauty routine and the top tips she's learned while working in the modelling industry. And we took notes.

Here are five surprising things we learnt about Miranda Kerr's beauty routine, straight from the supermodel's mouth.

1. Miranda Kerr has a non-negotiable skincare step.

Miranda loves skincare; so much so, she started her own organic beauty brand, Kora Organics, all the way back in 2009. Yep, well before other celebs jumped on board the beauty bandwagon.

But way before that, the supermodel introduced a simple - and affordable - step into her body care routine that has become a non-negotiable in her regime: dry body brushing.

"I've been doing [it] since I was a teenager," Kerr told Shazzy on You Beauty.

"Dry body brushing everywhere stimulates circulation and I love it. It's pretty good to help wake you up and make you feel energised in the morning," she added.

2. Miranda Kerr's no-makeup-makeup look.

Kerr rarely wears makeup; and if you've seen her skin, you'll know why. The glow is real.

But when she does, there are a couple of products she reaches for.

"I use the RMS Beauty 'Un' Cover-Up Concealer, $54," she said, before sharing her makeup hack to make it look even more natural.

"What I do sometimes is get a drop of the Kora Organics Noni Glow Face Oil, $83, get a brush and put it all over my face," she said.

"It gives me a lightweight glow and coverage for everyday."

3. Miranda Kerr curls her lashes with a... spoon.

Having worked in the modelling industry for over a decade, Kerr has learnt a trick or two from the best makeup artists in the industry.

Years ago, her go-to makeup artist and friend Rose-Marie Swift taught her a surprising beauty hack: ditch the eyelash curler and use a spoon instead.

"If you see the shape of an eyelash curler, it's kind of the shape of a spoon," Kerr explained.

"If you apply that same philosophy with the spoon and [curl] it with your finger, you can really create a curl. Rose-Marie used to do it all the time to us."

4. Miranda Kerr loves a multi-purpose product.

As mentioned earlier, Kerr is pretty low maintenance with makeup. So it'll come as no surprise that the supermodel loves a product with more than one use.

Speaking to Shazzy, Kerr explained that she uses her favourite blush - the RMS Beauty Pressed Blush, $36 - on both her cheeks and her eyes.

"It's really quick and easy, and it gives you a little bit of a pop," she said.

And when she's in a rush, she'll use her lipstick - Kora X RMS Wild With Desire Lipstick in Randy, $28 - for her cheeks, eyes and lips to give her face a rosy allover tint.

"[It's] really good... because if you need to touch up you have just one lipstick that you take with you to do it all," she said.

4. Miranda Kerr doesn't style her hair unless she needs to.

Kerr has always had good hair.

The Sydney-born natural brunette has that long, undone, Aussie look; and her number one rule for keeping it that way? Only style it when you need to.

Speaking to Shazzy, the model explained that when she gets out of the shower, she usually lets it air dry.

"I'm lucky that my hair is pretty healthy; [but] I take care of it and make sure I dry it naturally unless I have to do something," she said.

"I [also] put coconut oil on the ends of my hair," she added.

5. Miranda Kerr has a preferred hairstyle to avoid heat damage.

There's one quick and easy style Kerr tends towards, and it's a look she opts for on red carpets as well as her days off.

"If you can't really do your hair, slicking it back into a middle [parted] slicked back low bun is a really simple way to get an elegant look," she shared.

"[It] can be super timeless and you don't really have to worry about it."

"I use a little bit of the [Kora Organics] Noni Glow Face Oil, $83, if I'm doing that because it helps [with] the flyaways," she said.

"I don't own hairspray but what I do like is dry shampoo, even when my hair is clean, because it gives me a little bit of texture in my hair."
