Back in August 2013 the world was recovering from a confronting performance by Miley Cyrus and Robin Thicke on stage at the MTV Video Music Awards.
In case you don’t remember, there was a lot of twerking and tongue-poking involved. Here’s a helpful visual:
Some people thought it was awesome, other people wished the image could be burned from the memory and some people... didn't really care.
But one such person who "loved" the performance, was US president Donald Trump, who told Miley as much in a phone call the next morning.
In a conversation that we're sure is as unsettling as it sounds, the then 67-year-old real-estate-mogul-turned-reality-star called the pop star, who was 20 years old at the time, to congratulate her on the performance.
Miley has recounted the experience to Vanity Fair magazine in this month's issue.

I thought the whole idea of twerking was to repel anyone from even thinking about making a move. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Twerking on stage in front of 10,100,000 people with a guy old enough to be your father is okay, but a a congratulatory phone call is unsettling?
