Met Gala 2016: What the sparkly celebrities are wearing.

It’s Met Gala time, people.

The equivalent of the fashion Oscars, it’s the one night a year that Anna Wintour leaves her sunglasses at home and celebrities, designers, and other VIP fashuuun types congregate at the most stylish costume party you can hope to be seen at.

No personal invite arrived? No worries – a ticket to the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s annual fund-raising ball will just set you back a casual $25,000. Each.

This year, the theme is ‘Manus x Machina: Fashion in an age of technology’. And this is one red carpet that didn’t disappoint.

For your enjoyment: Met Gala fashion with Monz (post continues after video):

1. Taylor Swift

Swift nails goth glam (with a hint of disco ball). According to reports, she also ditched her boyfriend Calvin Harris in favour of taking #1 squad member Selena Gomez as her date — something Gomez seemed pretty dang happy about.

“We are going together! It’s so fun; it’s going to be the best. It’s kind of prom for fashion,” she told Access Hollywood.
