7,000 giant dominoes stopped traffic in Melbourne.

It’s so satisfying to watch.

Especially when you think about the time and effort that went into setting up these 7,000 dominoes, running through the city of Melbourne.

The community art project was led by a performance company from the UK, Station House Opera. Sky reports 3000 people set up the breeze blocks, weighing about seven kilograms each, over a two kilometre course.

They travelled down allies and across tram tracks (sure that went down like a tonne of… never mind). The chain even traversed through buildings and over balconies before the final bricks tumbled to the ground outside the Arts Centre.
