CULT BUY: The activewear that's pregnancy and breastfeeding friendly.

Activewear is no longer a trend, it’s a lifestyle.

The only problem? It’s not always the most inclusive clothing – but that’s beginning to change.

The latest standout? XOThree, maternity activewear specifically designed for pre and post-natal wear.

Made by mums for mums, the clever designs will see you through pregnancy and beyond.

Brisbane entrepreneurs and mums Alex Atkinson, Krissy Pinn and Bri Hayward are behind the brand, which was inspired by their frustrations with existing options.

“There wasn’t a lot on the market when we first started and of what there was, we didn’t find it overly fashionable,” Atkinson told Seven News earlier this week.

XOThree combines fashion with function (and comfort!) and the handy maternity features of each item are well hidden – think invisible zips and magnetic closure.

The sports bras unzip to reveal an easy access under layer for breastfeeding and follow the Australian breastfeeding guidelines of no underwire or flexiwire, yet still provide needed support thanks to the back straps.

With sports bras and leggings both costing $139.95, they’re not exactly budget, but the quality makes them worth investing in (and Afterpay is also available).

All items are made from luxurious Italian textiles with high levels of elasticity (so they’ll stretch with you) but still with excellent shape recovery power. Oh, and they’re long lasting, quick drying and breathable too.

The fabric also helps reduce vibration which supports your muscles and decreases strain.

The trio raised over $16,000 for the venture on Kickstarter earlier this year.
