What was really supposed to be an innocent Instagram post about having a movie night with her kids, has turned into a crusade against her sons dummy-sucking ways.

Mariah Carey, 45, posted the offending photo of her four-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe last week, sparking criticism from parents worldwide.

Some even voiced their opinion on the post, replying “People saying so what about a toddler sucking on a pacifier? No, that’s a lazy parent. A dinky at 4? Damn shame. Be prepared to explain to your kid why they’re going to have crooked teeth!” and “Roc still has a pacifier – at [almost] 5 years old. Anyone else notice this?”

Despite the haters, there were many people praising Mariah’s parenting skills and saying it was none of any one else’s business.

"He's a child! Nothing is cookie cutter when it comes to development and parenting. He's healthy and happy and living what appears to be a happy and loving life.
