Moving house always seems like such a great idea

Hello everyone!

Welcome to another installment of Mamamia’s Open Post. This space is a tradition that we bring every Wednesday. If you haven’t been here before, it’s a community space where you can share what’s happening in your life, and a place you can ask for advice if you need it.

I’ll get us started.

All I can think about at the moment is moving houses because it’s  seriously taking up 99% of my head space.

I’m moving out of my apartment, and have about 2 weeks to find a new place to move into. And it’s stressful.

When you decide to move houses it seems like such a fun and exciting idea. You start searching for what will be your dream pad. Every time you find an amazing looking place, in your price range you do a little victory dance, throw your hands in the air and get on to the real estate agent, stat.

But the thing you always forget, is that a lot of other people are also looking at that same place, doing the same victory dance, and calling the same real estate agent. So it’s not always as easy as you plan, to find that dream place in your dream location.

I know it will happen. But every time I start looking at houses I get taken down a rabbit hole of excitement, and a lot of the time these places that I find get snapped up before I even get to a viewing.

However, I still have hope.

I’ll just keep on tracking down that rabbit hole of excitement, until I can wrestle everyone else off one of the places I find.
