The Glow’s editor Alyx rocking the clip-in fringe
Happy Wednesday, friends!
And for anyone who’s new to the site, welcome to Open Post – a weekly space to share what’s on your mind and tap into the awesome community we have here on Mamamia. Tell us what’s been happening in your lives – everything from the book you just finished to the news stories you can’t stop thinking about.
This week isn’t even halfway over, and yet the sad events of the past couple of days have left us all reeling and in need of cheering up. What we’re about to show you might just do the trick.
Earlier this week, The Glow team was rather chuffed to discover there is such thing as a clip-in fringe. Anyone who’s ever experienced the frustration of growing out a fringe, or hasn’t yet built up the confidence to get one chopped in, will appreciate that this is kind of genius – even if it does resemble a toupee for your forehead.
This hairy invention first came to our attention over the weekend, during a leisurely scroll through Instagram. The real excitement arrived when we unearthed a blonde Lady Jayne version hidden in the depths of Beauty Director Nicky’s desk drawer (which is effectively the Room of Requirement for beauty/hair/skin products).
Naturally, we forced as many blonde Mamamia employees as possible to road-test the hairpiece, and the results… Well, you can see for yourself right here:

Basically, if you’ve ever wanted to resemble a teenage Beatles fangirl from the ’60s, this is your golden ticket.
On the topic of hair, we’ve been tracking down all the best celebrity hairstyles of the moment and compiled them in an irresistibly clickable gallery. You might find your next haircut inspiration in there – for the record, we’re particularly fond of Mandy Moore’s new lowlighted long bob.
Anyway, over to you – what’s been happening in your world?
