Leila McKinnon, Channel Nine journalist and co-host of Weekend Today, has just given birth to a baby girl.

Her husband, Nine CEO David Gyngell, has released a statement saying both mama and baby are “well and happy”.

We’ll bring you photos as soon as the couple decide to share them.

McKinnon and Gyngell have a little boy called Ted, who now has a baby sister.
