Some happy wedding news on a Sunday – former The Hills star, Lauren Conrad, has married her musician boyfriend of two years, William Tell.
28-year-old Lauren met 34-year-old William on Valentine’s Day in 2012. They’ve been engaged since October 2013, and married in California on Saturday – the perfect location, seeing as both of them originally hail from Orange County.
The ceremony was apparently an “intimate” affair set along the coast.
The couple confirmed the news to Us Weekly, saying in a statement: “What a perfect way to start our lives together; surrounded by the people we love most.”
Lauren originally found fame on MTV’s Laguna Beach in 2004, while she was still a high school student. When the series ended, spin-off The Hills commenced and followed Lauren through her life as she moved to L.A. Her love life was always a huge focus throughout the shows.
Lauren quit The Hills after a few seasons and went on to launch both her own website and her own clothing brand, called Paper Crown.
She designed her very own line of bridesmaids dresses for Paper Crown and told Martha Stewart Weddings that she wouldn’t be making all her bridesmaids wear the same dress: “I sent them all the different shapes and let them pick from two colors. I don’t mind if there are a few girls in the same dress, or if people are all in different ones. It’s too difficult to take a group of girls and put them in the same color and silhouette; everyone has their own style.”
She also told the website that she wouldn’t be too fussed about the hair or make-up of the brides: “I’m letting the girls do whatever they want. Again, I think that weddings are about celebrating, and you want everyone to feel comfortable, so I think it’s about whatever is going to make them feel pretty. Understated is always best, so I think trying to go more classic is always a nice choice because you don’t want anybody to stand out in a negative way.”

I love this too, and I will take a leaf from her book when I get married. I have been bridesmaid a few times, and a couple of times I have worn a dress that isn't terribly flattering, had my hair scraped back, when I usually wear mine out, and not the greatest make up. I have never complained as it's not my day at all, but I like the idea of the bridesmaids looking and feeling great in their own style. Especially so they love the photos too!
