BABY NEWS: Lauren Brant is expecting her second child with husband Barry Hall.

Former Hi-Five star Lauren Brant, 29, has announced she’s pregnant with her second child.

Brant, who already has 18-month-old Miller with husband Barry Hall, 41, told Who magazine, “We’re 15 weeks pregnant! We have been trying for a baby so it’s great news.”

Brant also confirmed that the couple are expecting another baby boy, and the due date is the beginning of June, 2019

Hall, a former football player, added that he is thrilled to have another healthy baby on the way – although, admittedly he had hoped for a daughter.

“I wanted a little girl but we’re also mindful that it’s hard to have kids, so as long as it’s healthy, we’re happy,” he said.

The couple, who met on the reality show I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here in 2015, has had a challenging six months. In June, Hall was dismissed from his job at radio station Triple M after he made inappropriate comments on air about a pregnant woman.

Also in June, Brant spoke openly about her difficult breastfeeding experience. She shared that while she established a “solid latch” with Miller within moments of his birth, three months after that, she began to struggle. Brant got mastitis five times, and battled between desperately wanting to breastfeed, and prioritising her own well being.

In September, Brant celebrated the end of breastfeeding in an Instagram story, saying it had been both a beautiful and difficult time.

“Today I am having a morning tea to celebrate the fact that I was able to and did breastfeed Miller for 15 months,” she said.

“I’m a bit emotional because that journey has come to an end, Miller’s completely weaned off breast milk, and he did that himself.

“I’m really happy for him that he is just developing into this beautiful, absolutely amazing toddler… but it’s also very emotional for me because I’ve lost my little baby.”

Congratulations to the couple on the joyful news.
