Medics rush to treat I'm a Celebrity's Tziporah Malkah moments after she enters the jungle.

Tziporah Malkah’s entry into the African jungle of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! could have gone a little better.

In fact, it could hardly have gone worse. Moments into the reality TV show’s second episode the former model and actress had to have two cockroaches pulled from her ears.

Medics were forced to step in during the first challenge in which Malkah, formerly known as Kate Fischer, had to perform before she could join her fellow contestants.

“One of them is actually in my ear, it is killing me,” a concerned Malkah said.

“It is flying around in my ear.”

The 43-year-old, along with 38-year-old model Kris Smith, were the final celebrities to enter the jungle on Monday night.

Before they could meet the rest of their campmates, the pair had to take part in a quiz type game known as the Grotty Lottery, where they were strapped into tanks and filled with thousands of insects.

The former fiancée of James Packer resisted the urge to scream, remaining calm as medics removed the creepy crawlies from her ears while she sat covered in bugs.

"I wasn’t making it up. I wasn’t being a sook, there was a cockroach in my ear," Malkah said after medics removed the creatures.

The frightening incident didn't stop Malkah and Smith from earning nine stars in the challenge - which meant nine extra food portions for the camp.

Malkah and Smith then joined fellow contestants Tom Arnold, Lisa Curry, Natalie Bassingthwaighte, Steve Price, Casey Donovan, Dane Swan, Nazeem Hussain, Ash Pollard, Tegan Martin and Jay Laga’aia.
