Motherhood is tough. Especially in an age where the internet acts as a platform for mothers to preach the ‘best parenting techniques’ left and right.
Luckily we also live in in a time where women have more independence, rights and equality than ever before.
This is something interior designer, Kyly Clarke wants to teach her daughter.
She’s only six months old, yet Clarke admits she wants her daughter to see her as a ‘hard worker’.
Kelsey Lee, the daughter of Clarke and her former cricketer husband, Michael Clarke, was born in November last year.
“I want my little girl see her mum as a hard worker,” Clarke told The Daily Telegraph.
Clarke, who has made a name for herself with her business, Lifestyled, talked to the publication about how important it is for her to have paved her own way in life.
“I want to have my own reason to get up out of bed and I want to achieve.” the 34-year-old said.
“It is empowering to have someone beside you basically witnessing your life along the way. But I’ve always been a go-getter and someone who has wanted to achieve her own goals.”
