Kyle Sandilands opens up about losing a child to miscarriage.

Kyle Sandilands is getting attention for something he said on the radio this morning but for once no-one is offended.

In a rare moment of candidness, the divisive Kiis FM host opened up to a caller to reveal that he and an ex-partner once lost a child to miscarriage, The Daily Mail reported.

“It was years and years ago,” he told the caller who had shared her own experience of having had relationship troubles following an abortion.

“It was really early on in those first three months. And that was sad when she just said one day, ‘oh, we’ve lost it.”

Kyle said that his relationship also suffered as a result of the loss although he didn’t realise it at the time.

“Somehow everything else stayed the same in our world but because we never discussed it or because we had that little issue that we never dealt with, we just drifted like two sailing ships going the opposite direction,” he said.

Sandilands, 43, was married to ex-wife Tamara Jaber for two years before the pair separated in July 2010.

He is currently in a relationship 23-year-old Imogen Anthony, who he described as the “love of my life” in an exclusive interview with Who Weekly last year.

He also said that a wedding and babies were on the cards for the pair, but added “she’s going to live a bit of her life first.”
