Parents are pimping out these simple $199 Kmart cubby houses, and the results are unbelievable.

It just so happens the hero of Australian backyards this summer might just be a $199 cubby house from Kmart if our Instagram feeds are anything to go by.

Let us introduce you to Kmart’s Wooden Cubby House, the perfect blank canvas for any of your cubby house creations.

From the outside, it looks like your average cubby house. But this simple design is giving parents the opportunity to pimp it out and make it their own.

Because after all, who has time to build your own from scratch? Instead, for $199 and a few cans of spray paint, parents can create their own child’s retreat right in their own backyard.

It looks like this:

As PR Roxy Jacenko detailed on her Instagram this week, with a few hands, the cubby comes together quickly enough.

And then, with a couple of coats of paint, it can actually act as something gorgeous in the backyard.

Parents across the country are taking to Instagram to share their own creations and if we’re honest, they look more put together and complete than our own bedrooms.

Some are acting as tiny pop-up cafes, and others like mini mansions.

Maybe somewhere in between?
