Kim Kardashian West has finally returned to Instagram after her thirteen weeks of silence.

Here you were thinking a standard hump day of nothingness was ahead of you, but oh Lordy how wrong you are. Kim Kardashian West is back, friends.

The 36-year-old reality television mogul made her triumphant return to social media on Tuesday evening, posting a family portrait of herself, husband Kanye West, daughter North and son Saint to her Instagram and Twitter accounts. The caption accompanying the candid image of the gang, who were all wearing white, was simply, “family.”

Kardashian West also updated her bio name to just “Kim”, but reverted to “Kim Kardashian West” moments later. The star also updated her profile pictures on both accounts.

The star also updated her profile pictures on both accounts.

The post breaks a 13-week social media hiatus from the mother-of-two, who has not posted since being robbed in Paris in October.

Throughout the hiatus, Kardashian West’s longtime friend Johnathan Cheban regularly posted information and images to Kim’s website and a behind-the-scenes Christmas video, in which the star could be heard talking, but not seen.

During that time, 39-year-old Kanye West was also hospitalised for sleep deprivation and exhaustion.

The pair’s youngest child, Saint, also celebrated his first birthday.

West posted a portrait of the family-of-four posing in front of a Christmas tree last week, writing “Happy Holidays.”

Finally, the world makes sense again.
