Just two days after she returned to Instagram after a three month hiatus, Kim Kardashian West has begun to post on other forms of social media.

The 36-year-old has posted her first selfie of 2017, posing with her mum Kris Jenner on Snapchat.

But it’s Kim peculiar choice of lip accessory that has fans talking.

A lip ring, you guys. She's wearing alip ring.

Look, we don't really get it either, but we will just file this one under "farshun" and call it a day.

It's not the first time Kim has been spotted with the lip bling - she wore it to her family's annual holiday party in December - with fans yet to determine whether the piercing is real or fake.

Kim also posted a video of her using a Snapchat filter, with the lip ring on clear display.
