Katie Price posts a photo of her 3-year-old in a nappy. Swiftly receives backlash from all corners.

Television personality, Katie Price, has been criticised for her parenting after posting a picture on Instagram of three of her children.

In the photo, Junior, 11, nine-year-old Princess and three-year-old Jett were standing by a fire – with the youngest in a nappy.

One commenter wrote: “How old is jet? He’s still in nappies.”

Price’s fans were quick to defend the mother of five.

“Omg are you kidding me with the nappy comments!!!! My son is 3 and still wears a nappy!!! GET A LIFE!!!!! It’s a lovely photo,” said one follower.

Another said: “A nappy at night time is hardly child abuse! My little boy still wears them during the day at times. Potty training is an individual task that all children are different in succeeding in.”

Many of Price’s fans said they had children the same age, in various stages of toilet training.

“My daughter is 3 next month and wears pull ups to bed or if shes poorly… There’s no need to rush these things. Kids grow up too fast these days. They all get there eventually,” said a fan.

Another said her three-year-old daughter had “no interest in the toilet”.

“I will not be forcing her either. She will do it when she’s ready. What is it with some parents thinking that all kids should be doing stuff at a certain age..Each child is different,” she added.

The former glamour model recently sparked another parenting debate after her youngest daughter, Bunny, had her ears pierced at 18-months old.

Some commenters called Katie “selfish” while another said the practice should be illegal.

One commenter wrote, “I don’t believe that a good parent would choose to inflict pain upon their child for no reason.”

The 38-year-old also made headlines in May, when she admitted she tried to abort her son, Harvey, three times.

“I didn’t actually go through with it. I was sat there with the cloak on, you’re there with all the women who are there to do the same thing,” she told UK talk show, Loose Women.

“I went three times to abort him but in the end I just couldn’t do it.”

Harvey, Price’s eldest child, was born blind and has a rare genetic condition called Prader-Willi syndrome, which causes learning disabilities, growth abnormalities, and obsessive eating. He also has been diagnosed with autism.
