It seems sticky-fingers lurk even in the most exclusive arenas of the racing carnival.
Kate Waterhouse was robbed of her phone on Saturday while she partied in the famous Darby Day ‘Birdcage’ marquee.
The fashion blogger told Confidential she has since bought a new phone as her old one remains missing.
“I didn’t get it back,” the mother-of-two said.
“But I was in Apple (the store) yesterday sorting it all out and I have a new phone, so it is kind of sorted.”
Waterhouse is back at the races for the Melbourne Cup today, wearing a lilac Gucci dress and Hatmaker headpiece.
Thc columnist told the publication her secret to surviving ’til the end of race day was putting comfort before style.
“You have got to try and wear a shoe that is comfortable because it is a long day,” she said.
