She may have stepped away from Australian TV screens in recent years, but it’s hard to forget Kate Ritchie spent over two decades playing Sally Fletcher in Home and Away.
Recently, she’s been been filling our air waves with the soothing sounds of her voice as one third of NOVA FM’s afternoon drive time show, Kate, Tim and Marty.
But in a new interview with TV Week magazine, the 37-year-old has revealed she is “open” to making a return to Summer Bay.
(Yes, we’re squealing on the inside right now.)
“They didn’t kill me off, so the option is there!” Kate said when asked if she would ever join her old pal Alf back in the Bay. With the Channel Seven soap fast approaching its 30th anniversary, it seems like the perfect time for her to make an appearance. "I would be offended if Sally didn't get an invite back to a celebration that Alf Stewart [played by Ray Meagher] was throwing," she laughed. A busy mum to one-year-old Mae, Kate reveals she still manages to tune in to the show every now and then.

"Seven o'clock is a busy time for me, putting Mae to bed - but it's no excuse! I still tune in from time to time," she said.
It seems Home and Away has been top of mind for Kate - just last week she donned her old Summer Bay High uniform as part of a flashback celebration on her radio show.
