Obviously, the most important thing that happened last night was Joe Hockey announcing the 2014 budget. He detailed many savage cuts – to welfare payments, foreign aid, parental leave – but the most talked about cut of the night was Julie’s.

A lot of people tweeted about Julie Bishop ‘s new pixie-like haircut. Including legit political journalists, for the record.

Here’s treasurer Joe Hockey giving the budget speech… But everyone’s secretly looking at Julie’s hair.
