I started watching the debate on Channel 9 who had the pink and blue worm. Was quite hypnotic. So much to take in! Then I moved to 7 who also had a white worm which averaged the blue (male)and red (female) worm.
Add Twitter to the mix and trying to eat my dinner and no wonder I have a headache.
My top-line thoughts: I thought Tony Abbott looked more like an alternative Prime Minister than he has before. Calmer, less all-over-the-place. And the pink worm quite liked him at the start. That was a surprise. As the debate went on, it seemed to like him less and less as women shone their wormy love on Julia Gillard.
Other than that? Nada.
Overall, they both played it safe. No revelations. No vision. Small targets. I don’t think I learned anything really.
I also asked Julie Cowdroy, Mamamia’s political editor, for her impressions…..
So, did you hear or see anything during the debate that made you change your mind about Tony Abbott or Julia Gillard? Did you learn anything? Will it change your vote? And who do you think won?
