Actor Jon Hamm explains why he never watches reruns of 'Mad Men'.

Jon Hamm says that he doesn’t watch reruns of Mad Men because that’s “weird”.

Almost two years after the show ended, the 45-year-old actor who played Don Draper has revealed that he doesn’t watch old episodes of Mad Men, the drama that was set in the world of a 1960s advertising agency.

While walking the red carpet at the NHL 100 Gala in Los Angeles on Friday, the 45-year-old actor told US Weekly that watching himself on TV is “always weird”.

He added that he doesn’t need to watch himself and that he doesn’t “sit at home and obsess”.

Hamm explained to the magazine: "Because inevitably, you're gonna think something looks terrible. Or is terrible."

The lead actor in the series that lasted for seven seasons, also hinted that he doesn't need to know when something "looks terrible", because the internet will point that out to him.

“Very often, someone online will tell you that it was [terrible], usually behind an anonymous screen name,” he said. “I try to stay off the internet as it pertains to me.”

Hamm was hosting the NHL 100 Gala at Microsoft Theater to help kick off the NHL All-Star Weekend.

His latest project, Marjorie Prime, premiered last week at the Sundance Film Festival.
