Cruel sense of humour? Perhaps. Dumbest man in history of universe? Possibly.
This guy has just pulled the harshest prank on his girlfriend we’ve seen.
A man in the US bragged on Reddit that he had “set a trap” for his girlfriend on laundry day, by placing a ring box inside his sock drawer. Why was that cruel? Here’s why:
She opened the ring box, and a note inside said ‘lol, JK’ (shorthand for ‘just kidding’).
DUDE. Seriously? ‘Oh, hilarious. The idea of marrying me is so unlikely, it’s a joke. So funny, babe.’
OR is this prank worse? Yes. Yes, it is. Disgusting and deeply cruel.
After some negative comments (surprise, surprise), the man defended himself by explaining that he and his girlfriend have a child together (so?) and the pair are not focused on getting married.
Still. We have a few choice things we’d like to say about his prank. But we don’t need to. All the Reddit readers said it for us.

You can't assume it's mean. A divorcee who is happily de facto with kids could go into a panicked melt down at the prospect of an impending proposal.
