Australian model Jodi Gordon, 30, has shared some sad news on her Instagram account. Gordon, along with her mum and daughter Aleeia, 1, recently traveled to Greta in New South Wales’ Hunter region to visit her ill grandfather.
She has since shared that her granddad has passed away in a heartfelt message.
Gordon wrote, "Two night ago my mum & I went on a road trip to visit my sick grandad. This morning he passed away. The human body and life astonishes me sometimes when it won't let go until their family have said their goodbyes or seen them that one last time."
"I know not everyone has that chance to say their final goodbye or have that last moment, but my mum, my beautiful daughter & I are so very grateful we did. We are so grateful for that special moment and we will remember it forever. We love you grandad and always will xx," she concluded.
Jodi's message was accompanied with a picture of a beautiful purple orchid. Her followers immediately began sending their well wishes and love to the celebrity.
Fellow model Laura Dundovic, who also recently lost her grandmother, commented "Thinking of you beautiful xx"
Gordon's husband, Australian football player Braith Anasta, 33, shared his words of support as well.
"Beautiful words my baby @jodgordon. It is amazing that yourself, Aleeia and your mum got to see him on Saturday! Love you very much gorgeous girl," he wrote.
