Joan Rivers has been moved out of intensive care, according to a statement released by her daughter Melissa Rivers.
“My mother has been moved out of intensive care and into a private room where she is being kept comfortable,” said Melissa Rivers.
“On behalf of my mother and our family, we are extremely grateful for all the love and support we’ve received. I know my mother would be overwhelmed by the continued outpouring of kindness and I want to thank everyone for keeping us in their prayers.”

Joan Rivers is in a stable but critical condition after her heart stopped beating and she stopped breathing during surgery, TMZ reports.
She is now in a medically-induced coma, the Daily Mail reports.
The 81-year-old was having surgery on her vocal chords at a clinic in Manhattan when the frightening incident took place, a source told E! News.
She was rushed from the clinic to a hospital, Mount Sinai Hospital, in critical condition and her daughter, Melissa Rivers, flew to New York to be by her side.
E! News reports a source said the operation was not a major one, but said: ‘They were putting a scope down her throat to check her vocal cords. She stopped breathing.’
The hospital that admitted Rivers released the following statement:
“This morning, Joan Rivers was taken to The Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, where she is being attended to… Her family wants to thank everybody for their outpouring of love and support. We will provide an update on her condition as it becomes available.”
TV host Billy Bush posted on Facebook:

Rivers’ condition has since been upgraded to ‘stable but critical’, E! News reports.
