Jessie J "not OK" after emergency operation.

She’s in hospital.

The woman with a big voice who judges other people with voices on talent show The Voice has been rather quiet on the cause of her recent illness.

She made her debut on Aussie TV last night as the talent show’s new judge, but in reality, things aren’t so shiny.

Brit singer Jessie J, 27, was admitted to hospital last week and underwent an operation for an undisclosed condition.

As is de rigeur for pop stars and most other people with a smart phone, she has documented her hospital stay with Instagram pictures, but she hasn’t said what’s up.

“I am not ok… I am in a lot of pain,” she posted along with a picture of her arm stuck with needles from a drip.

She added that she’s working with doctors on her recovery.

“After having an operation earlier this week, I am unfortunately suffering a longer recovery time than expected due to some problems that have occurred post the operation. I have been medically advised to cancel my shows this weekend. I am simply in no way to perform.”

She’s had to cancel European shows because of the condition, which from the sounds of it could be an ongoing thing.

“Hospitals have been my secret second home my whole life and they never get nice to be in,” she commented on a video posted to her Instagram.

Jessie J appeared on last night’s season premiere of The Voice, which was filmed months ago. She and her fellow judges put on an energetic performance of her song Bang Bang.

She’ll be returning to Australia for the life-show portion of The Voice later in the year along with other poppy types the Madden twins (they do everything together!), Delta Goodrem and Ricky Martin.

Feel better Jessie J!
