Jennifer Lawrence and Emma Stone first met on quite creepy terms.

Jennifer Lawrence and Emma Stone have one of those gorgeous BFF friendships that has them finishing each other’s sentences.

But as the pair recently shared, their now rclose friendship got off to a shaky start.

In a joint interview with W Magazine, the award-winning actresses were asked about everything from their favourite songs to their first pets. When the topic came up of their first meeting, they had a downright creepy story to share.

Listen: Before you trust someone, you should question their motives, the best-seller author says. (Post continues.)

You see, the pair had something in common they didn’t realise: they both had the “same stalker”.

The man they refer to as John the Orchestra Guy, would text them both “by accident” saying things like: “Hey, Alex (he makes up a name). I’m running late on my way to the soundstage. Can you warm up the orchestra for me? Make sure the orchestra’s warmed up for me,” Stone explained.

“It was always about the orchestra. ‘Can you text me back and let me know you get this? John’.”

Meanwhile, before they met Lawrence, 27, and Stone, 29, had been texting too, and for about a year that was the only way they’d been in touch. So when it came to them meeting for the first time in person, they both had the same terrifying thought.

“We had been texting every day for a year, but we’d never talked on the phone and we’d never met,” Lawrence explained.

"Then we were finally going to meet and she sent me her address and I'm driving over, and on the way over, I'm like, 'Oh my God, what if this is John the Orchestra Guy?' And she [Stone] thought when I was on the way over, 'Oh my God, what if this is John the Orchestra Guy?'

"So that was the first thing we had in common."

So just to be sure, they phoned ahead, happy to learn each other was not, in fact, a stalker. And they've been friends ever since.

It's not exactly the cutest of 'when we first met' stories, but it's certainly a unique one.
