The hidden detail everyone missed about Jennifer Garner's Hollywood Walk of Fame outfit.

Jennifer Garner received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Monday – and her outfit was very familiar.

Taking inspiration from the Duchess of Sussex, Garner wore the very same dress Meghan Markle was seen wearing the day before her royal wedding day.

Wearing the Rouland Mouret’s Barwick navy off-the-shoulder dress, 46-year-old Garner was accompanied by her children on the big day.

The actress, who is a strong advocate for privacy for children, is rarely seen publicly with her own, but 12-year-old Violet Anne, 9-year-old Seraphina Rose Elizabeth and 6-year-old Samuel Garner all came along to the Hollywood Boulevard ceremony.

"All of you here … are the most special people in the world to me, I hope you know that. The people who work with me and the people for whom I work, and my friends and my family, Violet, Sera and Sam," Garner said at the ceremony.

"For my children, when you walk over this star, I want you to remember, first of all, that I love you," the mum-of-three continued. "This is about hard work and good luck and not a whole lot else. You define me, not this wonderful spot in the payment. Also, for the record, don’t spend too much time on Hollywood Boulevard."

The Alias star was also joined by some of her former costars, including Steve Carrell, Judy Greer and Bryan Cranston, who all attended the event in honour of Garner.

Garner's ex-husband Ben Affleck did not attend the ceremony.

According to US Weekly, on the same day as the ceremony, Affleck and his year-long girlfriend Saturday Night Live producer Lindsay Shookus split up.

Affleck and Garner's relationship ended back in June 2015 following a decade of marriage, however, their divorce is not yet finalised.
