James Corden just recreated your favourite Beauty and the Beast scenes. With one hilarious twist.

Since Beauty and The Beast opened in cinemas last week, the world has been in almost unanimous agreement that Emma Watson was the perfect Belle.

Then James Corden came along.

For a recent show, the Late Late Show host and comedian decided to recreate some of the film’s iconic scenes for his segment Crosswalk: The Musical.

Possibly better than his highly successful Carpool Karaoke series, it involves Corden, celebrities and an ensemble cast performing musical numbers… on a busy LA pedestrian crossing.

And of course with real-life cast members Josh Gad (Le Fou), Dan Stevens (The Beast) and Luke Evans (Gaston) participating, there was only one role left for the comedian – and it wasn’t Lumiere.

I dare you not to have tears (of laughter) in your eyes.

"Daniel Day-Lewis played Abraham Lincoln, Meryl Streep played Margaret Thatcher... James Corden played Belle," he said.

The same level, surely?

Belle - Bonjour, Be Our Guest, Gaston and Beauty and The Beast were all recreated for the unexpecting commuters on a busy LA street, while simultaneously trying to dodge traffic.
