It’s Golden Globes day, which means the television and film industry’s best and brightest will descend on the Beverly Hilton Hotel in their red carpet best.
It’s also winter in California, and although Los Angeles is quite warm compared to its East Coast counterparts, anybody who’s wearing a strapless, tulle ballgown in still going to feel the chill.

The The Good Place actress and body positivity campaigner shared her practically undetectable red carpet fashion hack, one that’s guaranteed to keep her nice and toasty during the lengthy red carpet queues and long acceptance speeches.
Literally showing her Instagram and Twitter fans what was hidden ‘underneath the dress,’ the 32-year-old shared a video showing how her voluminous coral, Monique Lhuillier dress was draped over a pair of hidden skinny jeans.
Posting on Twitter, the actress simply wrote; “An experienced woman wears jeans under her golden globes gown because it’s forking COLD,” and goodness, we couldn’t love her anymore.

Responding to a media article that shared her clever hack, she tweeted “and I’d do it again benches…” making a reference to The Good Place in which the characters aren’t allowed to swear.
It’s almost genius in its simplicity, especially given the fact it’s 100 percent inconspicuous and invisible.
